HAND IN HAND is an Arbor Day in which the children do the major role.

　The NPO PLANT A TREE PLANT LOVE is calling for supporters from the community to help and support the children’s activities and study.
　Moreover, we are asking the help of professional support from experts on gardening, soil and history of such land- {WE LEAVE THESE THINGS TO YOU}.

　First of all, inform to the children in the community about {HAND IN HAND}. Please call also the attention of the schools, PTA, children’s centers and children’s organizations.

●We ask the adults to act as supporters for the children to do their activities voluntarily.

　We adults in our daily busy lives tend to forget those times when we had a lot of discoveries and curiosity such as when we turn over a stone we were surprised to find a living creature underneath and those times when we gazed admiringly the sky aglow with the setting sun.

　To all who were once children, …with the excitement which we used to have we ask you to generate your power to back up the children and understand what’s HAND IN HAND.

　Furthermore, we hope that HAND IN HAND would serve as the opportunity for supporters to take their roots to the community and more and more we would expect new buds to be grown up.

The environment planting will continue yearly on every September 25 expanding it to the world. That is the activity of HAND IN HAND.

　 Up to now most of the afforestation done in Asia was economic afforestation by business enterprises. In contrast with this, HAND IN HAND's afforestation is called Environmental Planting which is to enrich the living surroundings in the city. Children plant trees and sow seeds in their living surroundings such as in schools, streets going to school, parks, city streets, shrines, temples etc. The purpose is to promote communication between people to people, and people to nature.

　 Also, for total learning, we are going to make a proposal for a creation of a small forest for children to grow and discover ideas on the grounds of the Elementary and Junior High schools. The forest may be a 30 square meters or 40 square meters wide, or whatever is offered.

　The children play the major role in planting trees. The children will act voluntarily so they have to think by themselves and bring up ideas by themselves. The children will clean in the morning together with the senior people, uncles and aunties, brothers and sisters greeting each other {Good Morning} or {Hello}. What a wonderful thing if we could bring up that kind of human relations in the future.

　The adults are the supporters. While the children are trying to make movements to establish a new environment in their surroundings, it may be a chance for us adults to come to think of what our society should be. In that respect, there’s a meaning and significance of the activities of HAND IN HAND.
